Cum a fost David Cox?

David Cox , născut la 9 aprilie 1783 la Birmingham, Regatul Unit, a murit la 7 iunie 1859 la Birmingham, Regatul Unit, a fost un pictor peisagist englez. Deși era cunoscut cel mai popular pentru lucrările sale în acuarelă, el a pictat și peste 300 de lucrări în ulei spre sfârșitul carierei sale, care este acum considerată „una dintre cele mai mari, dar și cele mai puțin recunoscute, realizări ale oricărui pictor britanic”.
